This morning I was putting my basket together of Holiday Gifts... I've been creating gifts with my Hand Creams and Herbal Foot Creams. They make sweet gifts, and a lot of time people don't have time to get the little gift for their girlfriends ... or husbands for wives ... or children for teachers.
I stopped at out local Goodwill Store last night on the way home with Laura. I have found a lot of wonderful things for displaying my products at Holiday Gift Faires .... remnant sizes of pale green satin, gold satin with brocade roses, glittery silver leaves ... all wonderful items that enhance my display. I found a beautiful wicker basket that had been sprayed gold. Using the gold brocade fabric, the clear dotted paper, the colors of the gloves and slippers -- wow! can anyone resist purchasing these fantastic products?!? LOL
I love this business! Our mentors teach that we have a Gift of Arbonne ... and I'm finding in many ways that we have lost some of the arts that I grew up with ...
I was taught by my Nana and my Mom that handwritten Thank You notes are always in order after you have received a kindness. A present, a ride to the car shop ... all small expressions of kindness that truly deserve thoughtfulness in return. Do you remember how you felt the last time someone left a small gift on your desk -- and it was your birthday, or you were feeling down -- how it brightened your entire sense of well-being?
As I balance my business with other areas of my life, I'm finding that the Gift of Arbonne isn't just about the products -- my products that I love! -- but it's about the Gift of Giving Yourself ... that is truly the Greatest Gift of All.
With love, joy, happiness and peace to you and your loved ones ...

Live My Best Life
I am continually amazed at my experience in Direct Sales and how I am able to move that growth into all areas of my life. Or, it's probably more likely that the growth I experience every day radiates outward, touching my family, my co-workers, my friends, my business. I am experiencing such an amazing sense of peace, of gratitude, of growth ...
A few months ago, all I knew was that I wanted a career change. While the company I work for is wonderful, and the owner is kind and generous, my soul speaks to me of greater experiences ahead of me. Owning my own time, being able to do things with my daughter and her class, having a belief in my own Company was beginning to percolate in my Spirit. But, you know, I've done my career for over 30 years! What else am I qualified to do?
It was about that time that my sister contacted me and said "have I got the company for us!" Yeah yeah whatever was my inner response, but she was so enthusiastic that I agreed. Shortly after that we signed up for our 35% wholesale membership and two business were born!
Today we are involved in community events and causes. We are growing our businesses side-by-side yet separately. My husband supports me wholeheartedly and my daughter is my business partner; the fact that she is 12 allows her the opportunity to learn the Spirit of an Entrepreneur, giving her the experience of creating her own destiny. The freedom of not being an employee -- of creating her own passion and creating her own financial choices and not the choices of her "boss".
I am so amazingly blessed to have been gifted this business. It is a stepping stone to so many incredible experiences and growth expansion.
Thank you for being a part of it.

Simple ways to make a difference ...
This morning -- for the first time in a couple of weeks! -- I was able to take my daughter and her friends to school. Both of our cars have been challenged of late, and both were finally feeling good again! Anyway, we usually we have G, but we also had C this morning, which was an unexpected treat. As we were driving, they were talking about the fact that C has a field trip today, and G and L didn't. "I hate being different," C said.
I thought about that for a few seconds, and how being Different is what sets us apart from the herd. So I asked ... "I know this sounds like a weird question, but have any of you seen a flock of sheep? Or a herd of cows -- like those red and white ones...?"
"Yeah" they kind of muttered, wondering what weirdness an Adult would come up with this time.
"Or how about a field of flowers," I asked. "You know how they all look the same?"
"Yeah" they muttered again, and I could hear that their interest was a little piqued, but they still thought I was whacked.
"The ones that are different, and stand out -- those flowers that don't look like the other flowers, and are different ... it's those kind of flowers that got elected President yesterday."
They were silent for a heart beat, and then went off on pre-teen subject matter.
I continued driving, knowing in my heart that they heard. And, if they put just a tiny piece of that thought into practice, they will be proud of their differences and who they are.
And that is life is all about ...

Super Saturday!
I am having an amazing Saturday! I started at a local coffee house for an appointment, who was running late. So, I took out my top 100 list and started to reorganize it into areas. Wow! What a difference to know who is local, who is 10 miles away and who is closer to 45 minutes up the freeway. Genius! This allows me to have more clarity when inviting to my events as well as a way to possibly coordinate appointments.

The Power of Flow -- I am the water
"This ongoing journey requires faith in the power of a single lamp to hold the darkness at bay. It demands confidence in the power of humble actions to act as an inspiration, or a magnet, and draw in greater energies. There is also a need for a certain agility and strategic planning that puts these positive energies a few steps ahead of the negative trends. And, above all, we need a constant awareness that the 'other' is not really different from the 'self'. " --Rajni Bakshi

Embracing My New Career!
I was introduced to Arbonne products in October 2007 by my sister, Julie Beckner, District Manager, via her search for a home-based business. The first product I purchase was the RE9 Eye Cream and I saw differences in my skin quickly! Since that first product, I have incorporated Arbonne's pure, safe, and beneficial products into my daily routine and I love them! The business opportunity that coincides with the Arbonne products is unsurpassed in the industry. Our compensation plan, the support from our team leaders, the Research and Development -- everything combines to create cutting-edge products that work! What brought me to looking at a home-based business and Arbonne? Many years ago, a year out of high school, I was hired as a clerk at a construction trade paper in San Francisco. Three months later due to a "fluke" of a co-worker leaving the company, I landed the career that would take me through the next three decades. Now, that's what I call the hand of the Divine. It's also "dating" myself LOL
I didn't have any training, other than those few classes I was blessed with having in high school: typing, a bit of shorthand (failed miserably), the alphabet ... somehow, that lined me up for a career as a graphic designer.
